George Ammar on the Benefits of Living an Active Healthy Lifestyle

Being healthy means being physically fit and consuming a healthy, balanced diet. Those are the two elements that are needed, and they must be in balance. George Ammar is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Cleveland, Ohio, and he knows like no other how difficult it can be to find this balance. Having founded Ohio CFO LLC, he is constantly involved in the cutthroat world of business. This shows true resilience on his part, particularly has is directory of clients continues to grow.

That said, as a certified CPA, he also knows that it can be difficult to strike a healthy work-life balance. It is all too easy to become too focused on delivering services to clients on time and simply taking on too much. George S. Ammar, however, prioritizes his health and fitness. He has chosen to live an active and healthy lifestyle, and he encourages others to do the same. This is mainly because doing so offers such tremendous benefits overall. Because of this, he has developed, together with a personal trainer, a directory of different workouts that people could consider engaging in.

George Ammar’s Workout Program

While people have different metabolisms, anyone can store fat. Someone who is inactive and consumes an unhealthy diet will start to accumulate it on their arms, buttocks, tummy, and thigs. This is unhealthy because it can lead to cancer, diabetes, and more. It is vital, therefore, to stop being sedentary and start moving. That doesn’t mean that you have to get sweaty all the time, however. Rather, George S. Ammar believes it should include three elements, creating a balanced, holistic workout. Those elements are:

  1. The endurance workout. This is more commonly known as cardio. It is designed to strengthen the lungs and the heart. Activities such as running, walking, aerobics, and swimming are all forms of endurance workouts.
  2. The resistance and strength workout. This focuses on the muscle tissue itself. It encourages stored fat reserves to be used up. Essentially, this is about weight lifting, or using the body’s own weight to create resistance. Machines, dumbbells, kettlebells, and resistance bands are examples of this.
  3. The flexible workout. Last but not least, people need to train their flexibility through stretching. Often, this is done after the endurance or resistance, because it also makes the muscles cool down, lowering tension. However, it is also possible to do this as a standalone workout, for instance through Pilates or yoga. Those exercises also help to relax the body.

The Benefits of Working Out

Working out leaves the body fit and able to do what it is designed to do. It also ensures that people have less chance of developing serious health problems like heart disease, hypertension, obesity, and diabetes. Furthermore, being active reduces stress and depression, because it releases endorphins, the feel good hormones. It also increases metabolism, helping to burn fat, and helps people to sleep better. Sleep is vital for good health, after all.
